Pool and Spa Works​​​

From 1 April 2025, new regulations in Queensland require all electrical work involving pools and spas — including lights, pumps, heaters, and bonding — to be carried out by a licensed electrician, in accordance with the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 and AS/NZS 3000:2018.

This includes:

• Installation or repair of pool/spa pumps, lights, and heaters

• Equipotential bonding of conductive parts (e.g. metal fencing or ladders)

• Any fixed wiring or power supply within the pool zone
